What have been your highlights of this year?

A major highlight for me was going to the Geneva Motor Show, we won a piece of work for Bentley and I went along with the team to attend some new business meetings. The new business team don’t often get to see the fruits of their labour, so it was exciting to see the project unfold, and the new business meetings were successful as well.

What has been your most memorable win - and why?

Earlier this year TVC won a social and content brief for Hertz UK. The account has grown to become a key TVC client; and it constituted one of TVC’s recent digital wins, showing that the agency has taken a step forward with its digital offering and our new business strategy targeting these types of accounts has proven effective.

How would you describe your approach to business development?

My approach is to stick to the plan: if I’m running a campaign around a piece of content or targeting a specific sector based on a recent case study, both with work as long as you commit to completing the task before moving on to your next idea.

What is the best piece of advice you've ever been given?

A meeting is pointless unless you follow up.

What would be your number one tip to anyone starting in business development?

Make friends with everyone in your agency, as you’ll need everyone at some point.

What is your new business soundtrack?
