Established in 1846 in Madrid, Loewe is a luxury fashion house owned by LVMH Group - also the owner of brands including Louis Vuitton, Moët & Chandon, and cosmetics giant Sephora.

In his new role for Loewe, Smith will lead marketing activity across the brand, spanning all global markets. He will report to Pascale Lepoivre, who was appointed chief executive in 2016.

Before joining Loewe, Smith was group account director of R/GA London for over three years, where he led the Google business across Europe overseeing UK, Germany, France and Italy. Alongside this, he led the Nike EMEA and global Hyundai accounts.

Smith has also served as the senior account director of WPP agency Possible's LA studio, leading teams across digital products and digital marketing. During this time, he ran the studio's largest digital account for Mitsubishi.

Previous to this, Smith has also worked for a number of other leading agencies, including Y&R London and McCann Erickson.
