Peltoniemi’s former employers wished him success in his new role and praised him for his contributions.

In his new role, Peltoniemi, who spent seven years at Omnicom-owned TBWA, will oversee Interpublic-owned R/GA’s five offices in the region, which are Shanghai, Singapore, Sydney, Melbourne, and Tokyo. He starts work from 3 January.

“Tuomas is a transformation pioneer who understands how to implement change ahead of disruption,” said Bob Greenberg, the founder, chairman, and chief executive of R/GA.

"His career has evolved so similarly to R/GA’s own evolution that it feels like working together was simply a matter of time. We could not be more excited that that time has come, and I am confident that Tuomas will lead our APAC region to even greater success.”

Peltoniemi’s former employers wished him success in his new role and praised him for his contributions. Ian Pearman, president TBWA\Asia, said: “It is with thanks and our best wishes to Tuomas as he leaves the Collective. Tuomas joined TBWA\Asia with the responsibility to deepen our digital and innovative capabilities, and now leaves having helped establish one of the leading agencies in the region. We know he’ll be a success in his new role.”

On the same day of Peltoniemi’s departure, TBWA announced it has moved Cyril Bedat back to its Singapore office from the United States and appointed him director of regional client partner and innovation.

Bedat returns to Singapore after spending two years at TBWA\Chiat Day in Los Angeles where he was the global business director. He previously spent a year at TBWA\Singapore as business director.

“TBWA\Singapore is going through a mini-revolution, reshaping the way we work and operate to remain ahead of the external market pressures that are challenging our industry,” said Ara Hampartsoumian, the managing director of TBWA\Singapore.

“As we remain committed to securing a greater share of the future for our clients and ourselves, we also remain committed to bringing on board talent who enable us to meet this ambition. Having had the opportunity to work across markets, deepen his knowledge and experience out of LA, we’re delighted to welcome Cyril back to the Collective.”
