This week has seen another wave of appointments and departures at brands, media owners and agencies. The Drum has rounded up the key moves from the EMEA, APAC and North America regions below.
Mediacom has appointed Christine Fang as its global chief financial officer. She is currently chief financial officer at GroupM China and will relocate to London in March 2019.
Starcom UK's chief executive Jodie Stranger has vacated the role with her promotion to global chief client officer of the wider group. In her new post, Stranger will report directly to John Sheehy, Starcom’s global brand president. She will remain based in London.
Sir Martin Sorrell has raided his former company for S4 Capital’s first APAC chief. Formerly global chief growth officer of GroupM's Performance Media Group (PMG), Michel de Rijk will now be chief executive of S4C’s Asia-Pacific operations.
McCann Manchester has named Karen Buchanan as its new chief executive, bringing an end to Sue Little's 20-year tenure in the role.
Propeller Group has bolstered its senior team, appointing Rose Bentley to director of strategy. She will take overall responsibility for developing Propeller's new strategic service offer, senior client leadership and developing skills and expertise within the team.
Black and Ginger
Liverpool creative agency, Black and Ginger, has appointed Jon Humphreys as non-executive director. Humphreys is the co-founder and creative director of The Neighbourhood.
Influential has appointed Tom Carlin to work on the account teams of several of Influential's B2B clients operating in the built environment, in its Manchester base.
Simon Stone has been hired by LoopMe as commercial director to accelerate the agency's UK growth. He will be responsible for growing its agency partnerships in the UK and Europe.
Jona Gret has been appointed global lead video editor at Vamp, to head its international video editing and work closely on Vamp's partnership and creative offering with Facebook.
The Radio Academy
Sean Childerley has been appointed managing director, tasked with developing the role of the Academy, its members service and programme of events.
Kiron Kesav has been appointed general manager, strategy and platforms at PHD Malaysia to lead on new business and product development initiatives.
J. Walter Thompson
Shujoy Dutta has been named head of planning for J. Walter Thompson's Bangalore office. He has been with the agency for over nine years.
Havas Group India
Havas Group India has appointed Bobby Pawar as chairman and chief creative officer to strengthen its leadership. Pawar will lead the strategic vision for Havas Group’s integrated operations and will also take on the overall guardianship of the creative proposition.
DDB New York
DDB New York, part of Omnicom, has expanded its creative department with the appointment of executive creative director, Lance Parrish, and the addition of group creative directors, Katie Jensen and Ani Munoz.
Melissa Lentz has been named chief executive officer of the Magnet global network. Lenz will drive strategy, promote the network, aid in worldwide agency recruitment and advance educational programming.
Jacob Davis will serve as vice president of search and performance marketing at 360i. He will be responsible for leading new business search engagements and bolstering strategic search products and partnerships.
John Stachulski has been hired by Laughlin Constable as director of programmatic strategy. In his new role, he will continue to strengthen its media team and internal trade desk.
Accuweather has announced that long-time board member Edward Arditte has joined its leadership team as chief financial officer. He will be responsible for directing all financial activities.
