Name: Bailee-Kate Griggs

Job Title: business development manager

Agency: Publicis Media

What were your highlights of last year?

My highlight of the last year is definitely retaining the £210m P&G business in the UK for Publicis Media

What has been your most memorable win - and why?

Every win is memorable in it's own way, and I've been fortunate to be able to help a variety of agencies retain or win clients over the years. However, P&G is a standout in terms of scale and innovation.

How would you describe your approach to business development?

My approach to new business is to always endeavor to be the most helpful person in the room at any given time. No one person ever wins an account, and if you can be the driver behind your team, you're off to a great start.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?

Two pieces that have stayed with me are: 1. Never have a conversation without a notebook in your hand - you never know what information you will gather! 2. Never accept a role at a workplace that questions your style - if they're placing an onus on what you look like, they don't care about your skills.

What would be your number one tip to anyone starting in business development?

The long hours, late nights and early starts are all worth the win in the end!

What is your new business soundtrack?

It all depends on the pitch! But it's generally something between Tool and Travis Scott.
