The holidays are a flurry of package deliveries, flying all over the globe, whether that’s from Santa or your trusted postal carrier.

The US Postal Service, in a new campaign, cements itself as the one carrier that can deliver cards and gifts as reliably and in time for the holidays as Santa Claus and his team of reindeer.

The USPS holiday campaign from McCann New York, 'Surprise Encounter,' depicts what happens when a USPS carrier and Santa Claus meet at the front steps of the same address. The two are first surprised to see each other, but proceed to silently and knowingly swap stories and tricks of the trade before moving on to the next house. It’s a meeting of equals who, despite having very different methods, take pride in their parallel journey to deliver packages to every home in time for the holidays.

For bringing practicality and holiday magic together, The Drum’s readers voted the campaign the US Creative Work of the Week. See the spot by clicking on the Creative Works box below.
