Taking home Best Multi-channel Campaign, Best Digital Campaign, Best E-Commerce Website, Best Use of Programmatic and Best Corporate Communications Campaign, the direct and digital marketing agency was awarded the Grand Prix accolade for its work with Microsoft and Design Lab on The Fanchise Model.

Design Lab's customisable controllers can be expensive coming in at 50% more the standard controllers. This created a barrier for the company when it came to purchases. In order to increase sales of Design Lab controllers and take cost out of the equation, MRM McCann and Xbox turned gamers into entrepreneurs. Fans could create their own designs and earn from those that sold. The more designs that sold, the more they earned.

The judging panel awarded MRM McCann the prestigious award for “its elegant design and user experience, and the ingenious concept of turning customers into entrepreneurs.”

Another top honor of the evening was the Chair Award, selected by the chair of the judging panel, Lynn Badler, director of North America agency relations at LinkedIn.

Having also won Best Product Launch Campaign, Earnest (London) Ltd snapped up the Chair Award for their work with Samsung. Earnest developed a rich content-led campaign for the European launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, exploring how big and small businesses embrace technology.

On the campaign, Badler said: "This campaign went way beyond simply launching a new product. It embraced an engaging thought leadership topic – big versus small, how to do bigger things in business - what SMEs and large organisations can learn from one another.

"The crown jewel of the program were two videos following real businesses – big and small – as they put the Samsung products to work and achieved great things. These video served as case studies before launch, to help show, rather than tell, how the Samsung Galaxy Note8 could transform their working lives.

"The videos stayed with us. They were engaging, impactful, educational, emotional and beautifully shot."

For an agency that’s over 100 years old, the judging panel were impressed with B2B marketing and advertising agency, Doremus’ ability to push boundaries in the B2B space with a range of clients. Which is why it was awarded Agency of the Year.

“Doremus is winning on all fronts,” the judges explained. “Strategic assignments, content programs, brand launches, integrated campaigns, media engagements and are continually pushing to enhance their offerings with relevant partnerships, people and technology.”

Other winners of the evening include: Duncan Channon for Best Brand Campaign, Weber Shandwick for Best Demand-Generation Campaign, Twitter for Best Social Campaign, Gyro Denver for Best Out-of-Home Campaign and Radley Yeldar for Best VR/AR Experience.

A full list of the finalists can be found here. The ceremony took place at The Edison Ballroom in New York on November 15. The awards are open again to entries for 2019, get your entry in before August 2 and receive a special discount.
