What were your highlights of last year?
Relaunching E3 and London Strategy Unit as Great State- the coming together of 80+ brilliant experts from two independent agencies to upstream our offer and deliver brand technology services to our clients that keep them relevant in an increasingly competitive connected marketplace.
With regard to client achievements, we're accelerating Honda Europe's digital capability and innovation across cars, motorcycles and power products. We are providing strategic leadership to define how the business will shift business processes online and using contemporary development practices to bring new products and services to market at pace.
Developing a brand strategy to help Arla grow one of their core brands, Anchor butter. Delivering a plan to take Anchor back to number two in its category and appealing to a whole new generation of consumers.
For UNHCR we're creating a global movement through a connected data walk in solidarity with refugees in their search for safety. We're delighted to be working with Ben Stiller as an ambassador and potential partnerships with Fitbit, Stravaand Under Armour.
Finally we're really chuffed to have created and licensed our own digital product; the social publishing tool Okey Dokey, which allows the whole organisation to create social content in a controlled way, giving voice to all the great people that make up good companies
What has been your most memorable win - and why?
Last year we launched a deep-dive report into the consumption and participation into the football sector. As a result of this programme we have won the digital account with Aston Villa football club. This is memorable to me because it really shows how great thinking can lead directly to new client wins.
How would you describe your approach to business development?
Insight- led with a robust thought leadership programme that drives the right engagement with the right clients at the right time.
What is the best piece of advice you've ever been given?
Think more, do less.
What would be your number 1 tip to anyone starting in business development?
Think client solution first- no agency offer. What can you do to help them relieve pain point and retain competitive advantage?
What is your new business soundtrack?
The beautiful hum of GWR on the line between London and Bristol
