Reach saddles-up with the Jockey Club for racecourse running events

Publishing giant Reach is hitting the racecourse for its latest initiative, a series of running events held within some of the UK’s best-known racetracks.

In partnership with The Jockey Club and Hollicom Events, Reach will stage three mass participation runs throughout 2019 over hallowed turf at Cheltenham, Aintree and Newmarket to show that two legs can be just as good as four.

Simon Fox, CEO of Reach, remarked: “The launch of the Classic Run Series presents us with a new opportunity to further engage with our customers in a different but relevant way. Increasingly live events are becoming an important channel for us to reach our readers in the communities where they live, work, shop and socialise.

“The Classic Run Series will also provide our advertisers with fresh commercial partnership opportunities.”

Designed to attract fun runners as well as fitness fanatics, fundraisers and club runners each destination will play host to a junior, 5km, 10km and family mile event.

Hollicom Events have confirmed that Liz McColgan and her double Olympian daughter Eilish will take to the field as Classic Run Ambassadors.

The Jockey Club has previously partnered with Brawl to provide racegoers with app-based digital content.
