Preparing your agency exit strategy

Want to know how to sell your agency? Join our webinar on 28 November

It’s an interesting time for advertising agencies and the infrastructure of adland as the departure of Martin Sorrell from WPP earlier this year inevitably caused ripples of change throughout the industry.

Following the recent merger between WPP agencies, VML and Y&R London, to form VMLY&R, other agencies now find themselves facing a similar decision – to sell or not to sell. At the very least, many are contemplating their options and considering how their future could look.

The Drum has partnered with cloud-based business management software company Oracle NetSuite to release a new webinar titled Preparing your agency exit strategy. In the session, hosted by The Drum’s Naomi Taylor and Jasmin Patel, senior solution consultant at Oracle NetSuite, we will look at key trends across the mergers and acquisitions space, sharing tips for companies to prepare themselves ahead of sale and including special insight from COO Patrick Knight at media planning and communications strategy organisation, DWA, a Merkle company.

The webinar will also question whether now is the right time to consider selling your agency, challenging the reasons behind your decision and looking at how it could benefit you in the long run. Throughout the session, we will also look at how valuable your agency is, counting your employees and their core strengths as some of your assets, as well as working out ways to maximize profits.

The panelists will also provide insight into what a good partnership looks like, so when a larger business approaches you with a view to buy you out, you can handle the situation accordingly and make an informed decision.
