Daimler, which manufacturers Mercedes-Benz and other car marques, has handed its media account to Omnicom

Global wins

Daimler AG has handed over its global media duties – an account estimated to be worth $950m – to Omnicom Media Group (OMG). WPP's GroupM previously managed the majority of the business in Europe and the APAC region. Omnicom was the incumbent in the US, Canada, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand.

Grey has been named global advertising agency-of-record for Frank's RedHot. A new campaign for the hot sauce will debut in 2019.

The Association of Tennis Professionals has appointed Matta as its creative agency. The agency will be responsible for marketing and branding the ATP World Tour.

Americas wins

Herb and spice manufacturer McCormick has selected Grey New York as its key marketing partner. Grey has been named agency-of-record for the entire McCormick portfolio of brands in the United States.

Axos Bank has named Cutwater as its creative agency-of-record. Cutwater is set to lead the brand's communications efforts, including brand strategy, creative and production, as well as media planning. Media buying will be shared between Cutwater and Axos' internal media team. The first campaign from Cutwater, 'Banking evolved', has already been released.

Saatchi & Saatchi New York has been named agency-of-record for the Atlantis, Paradise Island resort. The Bahamas resort selected the agency to lead its advertising and comms efforts.

Watches of Switzerland has chosen Uncommon Creative Studio to create a global campaign launching the retailer in North America. The campaign is set to be the biggest in the company's history and will see it open flagship stores in Las Vegas and New York.

Meltwater has launched a partnership with Dow Jones to provide premium licensed content from Dow Jones Factiva into the Meltwater Media Intelligence platform. The partnership will give Meltwater’s clients the ability to monitor content across thousands of Factiva news sources, including The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, MarketWatch and Dow Jones Newswires.

EMEA wins

Sky has added Mother to its UK agency roster, tasking the agency with delivering an integrated campaign to help the network stand out from its pay-TV rival. The account was previously held by WCRS and Brothers & Sisters.

Duracell has appointed Pathfinder 23 as its Europe, India, Middle East and Africa e-commerce partner. The agency will be responsible for brand-building in 30 markets worldwide.

National Savings and Investments (NS&I) has appointed Unlimited Group to its direct and digital marketing account. Unlimited won the account following a competitive pitch run through the Crown Commercial Service framework.

Footwear brand Dune has appointed Mother London as its creative agency partner ahead of the launch of its 2019 spring/summer collection. Mother has been tasked with developing the brand and driving global growth.

Above+Beyond has been appointed as retained creative agency for life insurance brand Beagle Street following a competitive four-way pitch run by the AAR.

Magnum Photos - the photography collective founded by Robert Capa and Henri Cartier-Bresson - has hired Luchford APM to handle its B2B brief. The agency has been tasked with driving further awareness of the brand and educating creatives and art directors on Magnum Photos’ commercial offering.

PR, marketing and digital agency Shooting Star has strengthened its roster of public sector clients with Midlands Enterprise Universities. The agency won the account following a competitive three-way pitch.

Manchester-based The Mammoths has secured a three-year contract to produce the National Education Union Conference. The event is the flagship conference event of the largest education union in the UK.

Apac wins

Smartphone brand Vivo has announced a global strategic content partnership with Taboola News to drive engagement and monetisation across Asia. As part of the deal, Taboola will power news on its ‘swipe right’ screen to help expand the audience for the content publishers in Asia.

AdRoll Group has announced a joint venture with Rakuten that will provide a global advertising platform. Rakuten’s data will be combined with AdRoll Group’s expertise, with accelerating the customer journey with data-driven advertising and intelligent orchestration, to clients in the Japanese market.

JET8 Foundation has launched the DENSummit 2018, a keynote series of events that aims to create a platform to change the future of social media.

Launches

Publicis Groupe's The Community has launched its first outpost on the west coast with a San Francisco office. The Community San Francisco will be led by managing director Julie Liss and chief creative officer Mark Sweeney.

Belfast-based PR consultancy Jago has opened a new office in Dublin. According to a spokesperson, the new branch will "strengthen the company’s offering for its growing portfolio of clients operating across Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and the EU".

Yes Lifestyle Marketing has relaunched as Yes Marketing, a move which the company says reflects its "renewed vision on empowering brands to harness the value of their consumer relationships".
