Accenture, Xandr and Engine execs among additions to Ad Council board of directors

The Ad Council has unveiled its list of new members to its board of directors. The additions notably include Kasha Cacy, Engine global chief executive; Kirk McDonald, Xandr chief marketing officer; and Amy Fuller, Accenture chief marketing and communications officer.

In a statement from Ad Council, the board of directors comprises of a group of senior marketing and media executives who provide expertise, insights and financial support to ensure campaigns are impactful and effective.

“Our Board of Directors is critical to the work that we do every day to tackle pressing social issues facing our country,” said Lisa Sherman, president and CEO of the Ad Council said in the statement. “These new members are among the most innovative and creative leaders in the communications industry, and we are grateful for their commitment and talent to help us change the world.”

GE chief marketer Linda Boff chairs the board of directors. New board members are listed below:

  • Ernestine Fu, Chairman, Gfycat and Venture Partner, Alsop Louie Partners

The Ad Council also announced additions to its leadership council, which is chaired by Ad Council board member Harry Kargman, founder and chief executive of Kargo.

The new members of the leadership council include: Dan Caroll, AdPredictive chief executive and founder; Christine Fruechte, Colle McVoy chief executive; Harold Lueken, Starlite Media chief executive; and Kate Parker; Uber head of safety and insurance brand.

The announcement follows last month’s major rebrand. The 75-year-old nonprofit introduced a new logo, evolved how it works with corporate brands to address more social issues and expanded its content creation model.
