Rosie Arnold, AMV BBDO’s creative partner and head of art, is to receive the lifetime achievement award at the The Drum Advertising Awards in November.
Arnold, who left BBH where she was deputy executive creative director in 2016 after 33 years, will be recognised for her years of work and for how she has helped encourage others to develop their own careers in the advertising sector along the way.
This year, the theme of the awards will be that ‘Advertising is not a dirty word’ as it aims to remind the world of the positive impact that ad land has on businesses and society.
Stephen Lepitak, editor of The Drum, said: “When we discussed internally who we would like to recognise in terms of service and influence within advertising, especially on the creative side, Rosie was a no-brainer. She continues to work at the top level after more than three decades and commands the respect of everyone working in advertising today. It’s right that Rosie is recognised for the contribution she has made in her career and will continue to make.”
Along with the lifetime achievement award, The Drum Advertising Awards will also reward an Agency of the Year and bestow the Creative Works Award, which will recognise the highest rated piece of work reviewed on The Drum’s platform with entries from all around the world.
Network of the Year and Campaign of the Year will also be named on the night alongside other categories based on specific business sectors.
