Publicis Media Commerce Practice appoints leadership team

Amy Lanzi will lead Americas and Samrat Sengupta APAC. Meanwhile, Jonathan Lewis-Jones has been elevated to regional practice lead in EMEA from global commerce director at Starcom.

The regional practice leads will be tasked with driving commerce across Publicis Media agency groups including Starcom, Zenith, Digitas, Spark Foundry, Blue 449 and Performics. Furthermore, they will help clients adopt new commerce capabilities in order to accelerate growth.

Public launched Commerce as a global practice in March as a means of pooling talent across the group and honing it wider for the benefit of clients, particularly across commerce strategy; media and marketplace investment, and content and merchandising.

Lanzi joins Publicis Media from TPN, a retail marketing agency within Omnicom. Meanwhile, Sengupta led at Rocket Internet before joining Tokopedia.

The commerce team leaders will report to Ali Nehme, global practice lead, Commerce, Publicis Media.

Nehme said: “Commerce has become a priority for our clients and they are increasingly looking to us as their partner who can bring a blend of media, sales, content, data and tech expertise to help drive decisions in this important and growing space.

“Amy, Samrat and Jonathan’s expertise runs deep and diverse. We are confident in their ability to lead end-to-end commerce strategy and media optimisation across the organisation and position our clients for success to transform their business.”
