Coca-Cola will become the seventh official partner of the Premier League from January 2019.

Coca-Cola slakes thirst of Premier League fans with sponsorship deal

The soft drinks manufacturer has struck a three-and-a-half-year deal with the sporting league. It will make full use of the agreement to promote its suite of its drinks – from its signature cola through to a range of water, fruit and other soft drinks complete with low and zero sugar options.

Richard Masters, managing director of the Premier League, remarked: "We are excited that this is Coca-Cola Great Britain’s first portfolio-wide partnership and they will be bringing it to life across a range of brands.

"We know from their previous campaigns in sport they are excellent at communicating to fans across the globe and they have some exciting ideas – including a nationwide Trophy Tour – that will see the League benefit from their huge reach in the UK and across the world."

Jon Woods, general manager of Coca-Cola Great Britain and Ireland, added: "The Premier League is one of the most diverse leagues in the world and unites people with a shared passion for football and we’re looking forward to working together to help bring fans to closer to the action.

"The partnership gives us an opportunity to showcase the range of drinks we offer which we are proud to make here in Great Britain and will help us to raise awareness of our no-sugar drinks."

As part of the deal Coca-Cola will undertake a nationwide Premier League Trophy Tour to bring fans closer to the beautiful game as well as their own products.

Coca-Cola is increasingly championing its range of no sugar products, going so far as to unify the packaging for original and zero sugar coke.
