This week has seen another wave of appointments and departures at brands, media owners and agencies. The Drum has rounded up the key moves from the EMEA, APAC and North America regions below.

EMEA people are on the move

Ogilvy UK

Ogilvy UK’s group chief creative officer, Emma de la Fosse, is to leave the agency to join Publicis. De la Fosse, who joined Ogilvy in 2011, will take up the role of UK chief creative officer at digital shop Digitas.

Wonderhood Studios

Creative agency, Wonderhood Studios has named Aidan McClure as executive creative director, Jessica Lovell as its chief strategy officer and Alex Best as chief operating officer.

Starcom

Starcom has appointed Louise Peacocke as managing partner to lead the delivery of new products, fostering client relationships and driving business growth.

Wilko

Neil Feakins has joined Wilko’s senior team as customer insight and data director, a newly created role for the retailer.

180 Kingsday

Amsterdam’s 180 Kingsday has hired two new senior leaders. Marloes van den Berg starts as head of production, responsible for leading and growing the production department, and Lenneke Speelman who has joined the agency in a newly created role of content and digital director.

STV

David Mortimer has been hired by STV as managing director of STV Productions, to support the companies plans to build a production company. He joins STV from Tinopolis where he was director of content.

Wilson Cooke

Wilson Cooke has created three new positions to help coordinate key service deliveries. Group account director, Kathryn Brown, has been brought on board to help develop existing client relationships. Lee Lambourne will lead on new business opportunities as business development director, and digital outreach executive, Cain Wilkes, will help to deliver a brand new social media and outreach offering for both existing and new clients.

Muddy Stilettos

Former head of strategy at the Shortlist Media Group, Jo Sutherland, has been appointed commercial director to further enhance the publisher's brands partnership portfolio.

The Creative Engagement Group

Paul Warwick has joined The Creative Engagement Group (TCEG) as head of strategy, a new role at the company. He joins from Saatchi Pro, where he was planning partner.

APAC people on the move

Havas Japan

The French ad network's Japanese office has appointed Ryuji Mitsuishi Banderas as managing director and elevated chief executive officer Stephen Cox to the newly created roles of vice chairman and chief integration officer.

Mitsuishi joins Havas from Google Japan where he held a variety of positions focusing on brand strategy and creativity. Prior to Google, Mitsuishi worked at agencies such as MRM/McCann Worldgroup, DDB and Beacon communications, where he led local and global digital/creative strategies for international and local brands.

CNN

The American broadcaster has appointed Tini Sevak as vice president of audiences and data for its international commercial operations .

Sevak will work on CNN's international data strategy, create new solutions that further inform business intelligence and provide the broadcaster's commercial partners with ways to utilise campaign insight.

Trimantium GrowthOps

GrowthOps has installed Andy Fyffe to the newly-created role of chief marketing officer. Fyffe is the co-founder of Khemistry and was previously managing partner for 13 years. In the role of CMO, his primary focus is now on building the company’s brand platform.

PHD China

The Omnicom-owned agency has added two newly created roles to its management team by promoting Sandy Tan to managing director of operations for data and tech integration, and hiring Ian Dolan from PHD UAE as head of strategy and planning.

MiQ

The marketing intelligence company has hired Marcus D’Souza to lead its South East Asia business as managing director, where he will be responsible for leading the company’s future growth into new and existing markets.

D’Souza relocates to Singapore from London where he has been leading commercial operations for MiQ in EMEA since joining in 2013.

Ada

The Axiata Digital’s integrated digital marketing agency has appointed Mahesh Neelakantan as country director for both Malaysia and Singapore to drive synergies across both markets.

NETS

The Singaporean electronic payment service provider has announced the appointment of Ching Wei Hong as its new chairman with effect from September 2018. Ching is the chief operating officer of OCBC Bank and succeeds Tan Su Shan, who has been chairman of NETS since January 2016.

Ching is also currently the chairman of Bank of Singapore and OCBC Securities, as well as deputy chairman of Lion Global Investors.

Tickled Media

The Singapore-based publisher has elevated Adrian Watkins to become the first chief strategy officer of the company.

Previously, the head of data and strategy, Watkins will work alongside Tickled Media founder and CEO Roshni Mahtani to help develop, communicate, execute, and sustain strategic initiatives ranging from commercial positioning through to wider business rationale, in his new role.

Twitter

Twitter a new head of global client solutions in Sarah Personette. She joined from Refinery29, where she was chief operating officer and has previously served at Universal McCann and Facebook. Based in New York, she will oversee all of the global regional Twitter client solutions leaders, client solutions development and global brands.

Uber

Uber has appointed Beam Suntory's Rebecca Messina as its global chief marketer, a newly created role for the ride-sharing company. Beam Suntory is currently on the hunt for a replacement ahead of her exit in October.

Snap

Snap's chief strategy officer Imran Khan is to exit the business to "pursue other opportunities". The company has not yet found a replacement and Khan, who has been at Snapchatsince 2015, will continue to serve as chief strategy officer in the interim. Snap will not rehire for the role of chief strategy officer, instead hunting for a 'chief business officer' to fill Khan's seat. He will aid the search.

Visit Philadelphia

Visit Philadelphia has named Jeff Guarcino its second president and chief executive. He most recently held the same role for Philly-based organization Welcome America.

Airbnb

Airbnb has appointed Vinayak Hegde as lead of 'global growth marketing and traffic platform' as well as handle all marketing activities for its Homes division. Laura Chambers has joined as head of Airbnb’s Homes Host category, where she will work on providing a better experience for Airbnb’s hosts.

Vevo

Interim chief executive Alan Price has officially secured the chief executive officer job for Vevo. Price has served at Vevo for nine years, first joining as chief finance officer.

Leo Burnett

Leo Burnett has named Tom Scharpf executive creative director for the Samsung business. Scharpf has been partnered with Kieran Ots, and has been asked to focus primarily on mobile and brand work.

MIQ

Nicole Matthews has been hired by MIQ as the vice president for North America. Matthews will lead marketing strategy and communications supporting the expansion of MiQ throughout the U.S. and Canada.

IPONWEB

Iponweb has appointed Barry Adams as general manager for BidSwitch. In his new role, Adams assumes responsibility for BidSwitch technology, marketing, operations, and product functions.

R/GA

R/GA have hired Jason Ambrose as the executive creative director of the Austin office. In his new role, he will oversee the creative vision and development for R/GA Austin’s product and campaign work.

Adara

Adara has appointed Carolyn Corda as chief marketing officer. The new executive position will serve to support Adara’s growth in the US and abroad.

AKQA

AKQA welcomes Chris Wallace as client partner of media in the San Francisco studio, after he spent six years working within WPP.

MBMG

Privately held, national media services agency Milner Butcher Media Group LLC (MBMG) has hired industry leader Bruce Dennler as executive vice president, director of strategy, a new position at the agency, driven in part by recent growth. Most recently Bruce was managing partner, West with MDC Partners’ Assembly.

IAB

The IAB announced that Michael Texidor has been promoted to vice president, learning and development, and Breda O’Reilly has been named vice president, investment and relations.
