Mailman Group has announced it has invested in digital sports consultancy Seven League as both sports marketing agencies seek to combine their expertise in their respective markets to serve their clients.

Mailman previously also helped the football platforms Copa90 and Dugout to launch in China.

As both Shanghai-based Mailman and London-based Seven League are already working with similar clients, like the German Bundesliga, French football club Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus and United States’ NFL, it makes sense for them to share resources and best practices, both companies say.

Mailman previously also helped the football platforms Copa90 and Dugout to launch in China.

“As major sporting codes continue to grow internationally, as team brands become more ‘brand centric’, navigating the international digital media platforms and local insights become more important. We hope to deliver a powerful position to our clients and ensure their continued success for years to come,” said Andrew Collins, chief executive officer of Mailman.

Richard Ayers, CEO of Seven League added: “Sports organisations have been going through digital transformation for a few years and we are helping many of them to accelerate through the process, growing audiences, engaging them and benefitting as a result. The more we can help deliver success off the pitch/field/court/course, the more likely that sport will deliver value back to global society.”
