Odisha Tourism has turned to crowdsourcing and is encouraging people to design its new logo which will make its brand recognizable globally.

Odisha Tourism has announced a logo design contest to further strengthen its tourism brand. The move comes after Odisha tourism's recent sports tourism campaign 'Odisha by morning, Hockey by evening' as it plays host partner to the Odisha hockey men's world cup Bhubaneswar 2018 slated to be held from November 28 to December 16.

The entries for the contest will need to be submitted on odishatourismlogo@gmail.com in a PDF format properly water marked with the creators name or any other way to establish ownership along with a brief about the concept chosen by 15 September midnight. The winner will receive a cash prize of Rs. one lakh.

Odisha Tourism in a statement said: "Working across traditional silos and encompassing all our key tourism elements, we would like the logo to guide people smoothly from our marketing to our in-place experiences.

"For eg. we would like the logo to be bold, horizontal spread, multi-color and appealing. Should convey our key tourism strengths. Living by our open-source values of creativity, transparency and participation, we’re reaching out to learn what people think."
