Snapchat hires WarnerMedia CMO to head US sales
Snap has hired WarnerMedia veteran Kristen O’Hara as vice president of US Global Business Solutions, a role which will see her head up its US sales.
Snap's Kristin O'Hara
O’Hara has spend 16 years at WarnerMedia (former Time Warner) where she most recently served as chief marketing officer for over seven years. Prior to that she served agency side at WPP’s Young & Rubicam.
She will be based in Snap’s New York office and report to Imran Khan, chief strategy officer.
Khan has been overseeing US sales leaders since February, but they will report to O’Hara effective 4 September.
The role does not affect Claire Valoti, who heads up Snap’s international sales.
As a result of Snap’s restructure of its sales division (which saw it renamed to Business Solutions) O’Hara’s role will span beyond traditional sales and see her take on a more “consultative” role with advertisers.
