Global wins

Integrated 3D holographic display systems producer Hyprvsn has appointed Clarity PR as its global communications agency.

Nail brand Nails Inc has appointed Threepipe to manage its UK and US paid search business.

EMEA wins

Wavemaker has been appointed by the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) to handle all of the charity’s media planning and buying in the UK and Ireland. The appointment follows a strategic review by the RNLI and a competitive pitch against multiple agencies.

Revlon has appointed Jackanory to develop and implement experiential activations in support of Juicy Couture’s new fragrance OUI Juicy Couture.

Specialist food and drink PR agency Elliotts has been appointed by McCain Foodservice to develop its PR activity. The contract is set to last two years.

Premiership Rugby champions Saracens has appointed data-driven sports marketing agency Two Circles to help them strengthen engagement with their fans and drive commercial growth.

FCA Group-owned car brand Abarth has appointed Krow to work on its UK advertising. Krow’s brief covers Abarth’s UK advertising across channels including TV, press, radio and OOH.

Power to Change, a charitable trust that supports community businesses across England, has appointed creative agency BJL. Power to Change has directed BJL to develop and execute a communications and engagement strategy aimed at raising the profile of the trust.

Pall Mall Medical has appointed brand agency, Truth Creative to raise awareness of its range of healthcare services. Truth’s PR team has been retained to promote the north west-based company by engaging with bloggers, journalists and social influencers.

Out-of-home provider Clear Channel has begun work with Harrow Council to deliver new street furniture to the area, following a successful competitive tender bid.

The Restaurant Group, which owns brands such as Garfunkel’s, Chiquito and Joe’s Kitchen, has appointed MHP Communications to be its retained financial PR adviser, building on the agency’s strong stable of consumer clients.

Female-focused tech brand Elvie has hired Mother to help drive brand awareness.

Mobile specialists Fetch has won Good Energy’s digital business. Fetch has been tasked with driving new customer acquisition and increasing awareness of the brand.

Mizuno has appointed Promote PR to drive awareness for its netball shoes with a nationwide campaign. Along with traditional media relations, Promote’s support will encompass partnership development, content creation and work with influencers.

Ferry operator DFDS has announced the appointment of 2SistersPR as their Polish PR agency. 2Sisters has been tasked with marketing the transport operator's services to the UK Polish community.

This week's agency launches

  • Branded content producer Quite Frankly Productions has launched an office in the States, Quite Frankly Productions USA, Inc.
  • Leeds-based digital agency Journey Further has announced it is launching a new agency providing PR, SEO and influencer marketing. Journey Further Influence will be formed from the acquisition of search consultancy MRE which Journey Further has bought for an undisclosed sum.

Apac wins

OMD has been appointed the integrated media planning and buying responsibilities for Kayak's first campaign in Hong Kong.

Acquisitions

Bauer Media has agreed to acquire Jazz FM, the UK's largest jazz, blues and soul station. Bauer said that the acquisition would help the company capitalise on the genre's resurgence among listeners.

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has cleared JCDecaux's acquisition of APN Outdoor Group Limited. The proposed acquisition will help JCDecaux make inroads in the seventh largest ad market in the world.
