Engine Group names UM's US chief Kasha Cacy as global CEO

Kasha Cacy named Engine Group's global chief executive

Engine Group has named Kasha Cacy as its new global chief executive officer, joining from IPG agency network UM.

Cacy, who was US chief executive of UM, will be based in the agency’s New York headquarters, where she will report to Paul Caine, its executive chair.

Caine said of Cacy, who spent a decade at her previous company where she was most recently responsible for the running of its five offices across the US: “Her talent, drive and vision will be tremendous assets as we enter an exciting time for the company and our clients. Kasha has deep expertise across media, data, marketing and consulting. She will be key in leading Engine as we build upon our differentiated offering of data, insights, content, distribution and technology, with the goal of helping our brand, publisher and agency partners succeed in driving business growth.”

Cacy added: “Individually, each of the practice areas is so impressive. And together, it creates the kind of solutions clients are going to be really excited about. I can’t wait to join the talented leaders and teams around the globe in leading a nimble, open ecosystem that will provide clients with a better way of working and greater value than ever before.”

She takes over the role following the departure of Debbie Klein to Sky earlier this year in London. That role is still understood to be seeking a successor, despite the appointment of Cacy. Klein, now group chief marketing and corporate affairs officer for Sky has since put the creative account up for pitch, with four agencies expected to be involved, including current agencies WCRS and Brothers and Sisters.
