Clemenger buys Levo

The Levo proposition is around helping clients navigate the task of digital transformation by giving them tools and consultancy, with a specialisation in automation and e-commerce platforms.

According to Clemenger, the two business had already been working with one another on client projects and Clemenger decided to acquire the business to help boost its own technology capabilities.

Clemenger group executive chairman, Robert Morgan, said: “Levo will give us the underlying technology skills required to deliver personal, scalable and unmissable experiences. Levo already works with us on key clients and we see enormous growth opportunities post acquisition for Levo to work across both our CHE Proximity and Clemenger BBDO Networks.”

The merging of traditional agency capabilities and more tech-focused and consultative models is on the rise in Australia. The biggest deal to date has been Accenture’s purchase of The Monkey’s, a deal which is now starting to bare fruit. More recently KPMG Australia hired former Droga5 CEO Sudeep Gohil to lead the brand consultancy practise.

Levo founders Callum Hoogesteger and Craig Roberts, who started the business in 2005, will continue to lead the business and the Levo name will be kept as part of the deal.
