EMEA wins

Consumer delivery service Hermes has appointed Jaywing as its lead integrated marketing agency in a two-year contract managing the brand's entire account. Jaywing has been tasked with creating a new positioning for the brand across trade and consumer channels.

Sega Europe has appointed marketing and PR agency Agent42 EMEA. Agent42 won a brief to promote Football Manager at Gamescom in Germany, via an on-site experiential campaign.

L'Occitane has appointed The Corner as its first lead creative agency, following a competitive pitch run by Oystercatchers. The agency's first work for the Provençal beauty brand will run at Christmas.

Merlin Entertainments has appointed HeyHuman as lead creative for a special conservation project for the Sea Life Trust. The agency will promote a new beluga whale sanctuary off the coast of Iceland with public installations across the UK.

Darts brand and manufacturer Unicorn has selected Earnie, the creative arm of Threepipe, to provide creative support and design a new product range.

This week's agency launches

  • TBWA\Asia has appointed Sung Lin Gun as regional head of post-production at Bolt, a newly launched production capability for the region.
  • Sydney-headquartered consumer PR and influencer agency Adhesive has launched in the UK. The agency's clients currently include Sony, TripAdvisor, Red Bull and Dyson.
  • Edinburgh's TVSquared, a television analytics firm, has opened TVSquared Latin America, which is to be based out of Miami. The launch is part of a play for the Latin American TV sector, which is the world's fourth largest advertising market.

Transport for Greater Manchester (TGFM) has appointed AKA North to manage its media planning and buying. The agency will be responsible for generating brand awareness and delivering a brand shift as TFGM transitions to sustainable transport.

TBWA\Manchester has been appointed by Together as its lead creative agency. TBWA will be responsible for launching a new brand campaign for the lender, which is also based in Manchester.

Optician Acuitis has chosen Blackdog to create a new store design concept for over 40 stores in Britain. The French eyewear brand charged the retail design agency with rolling out its new fashion-forward concept over the next two years.

Dunlop International Europe has appointed Promote PR to support the brand's global relaunch. The tennis brand is undergoing an overhaul following its acquisition from Sports Direct by Sumitobo Rubber Industries last year.

Threepipe has been appointed by customer feedback solutions provider GetFeedback. The account was awarded following a competitive pitch.

City Lit has appointed search agency Epiphany to manage its SEO and drive online sales. The London-based college said that it chose the agency based on its transparency and experience.

PR Agency One is celebrating two client wins this week. The Mancunian agency has been appointed by French sports retailer Decathlon as part of a bid to raise brand awareness and store footfall in the UK. It's also been selected by specialist consumer lender Duologi to handle its communications strategy. The appointment followed a competitive three-way pitch.

Apac wins

Puma has appointed Y&R as its creative agency-of-record for its business in China. Y&R will now manage the brand’s creative solutions, focusing on digital and social activation, having won the account after a competitive pitch.

Clorox has named FCB Kuala Lumpur its social media agency for Malaysia and Singapore, following a competitive review.

Acquisitions

Clemenger has taken a majority stake in Levo Digital, a digital transformation consultancy in Australia and New Zealand.

Research Now SSI has acquired Amsterdam's DMA-Institute. The move is intended to bolster the digital market researcher's capabilities in the market.
