Creative Work of the Week APAC: Wu Fang Zhai pays tribute to dumplings in a quirky ad

The winner of creative work of the week is the restaurant chain Wu Fang Zhai which unveiled a bizarre ad which aims to explain the origins of its sticky rice dumplings.

The campaign ad created by Social Lab Beijing, features actors dressed up like grain of rice aka 'Grainmen' with a voice narrating their journey from leaving home to enduring extreme weather in order to finally become part of the dumplings.

The ad was directed by Nieto, who also designed the unique rice helmets worn by the actors. The film was shot at a studio in Beijing over two days in early May.
