Among cited members of Together Group is e-commerce creative agency Sweden Unlimited, Folk Commerce, Skywire and 5XThinking while will aim to pair up their capabilities on briefs for largely premium, luxury and lifestyle brands.

The initial focus from the agencies will be driving “purpose-driven and digital transformation” across e-commerce and digital experiences. It also has an eye to expand into the financial services, energy, utilities and automotive sectors further down the line.

Dr Christian Kurtzk, former chief executive of Porsche Design Group, will lead the London-headquartered collective as chief executive.

“We are building an agile Champions League team of owner-led agencies - combining purpose-driven strategic transformation with brand-led creative power, highly experienced technological execution and effective activation of people," he said. "But the most important differentiation is our collaborative culture.”

Venture firm MatCap is offering support to the group. Its founding partner Paul Sheehy said the group "offers a fulfilling alternative to agency founders which clearly outperforms the traditional trade sale model.”

It is set to be listed on the international exchange for the next year in pursuit of investors across the world as it seeks an IPO.

As agencies attempt to restructure mammoth models, the indies are also plugging away at finding a mutually beneficially, collaborative model that allows them to scale up their skillsets as required by clients.

Harbour Collective and Local Planet are two examples that have recently shared their journeys with The Drum.
