L’Oreal’s digital innovation and entrepreneurship manager Samantha Bort, Carol’s Daughter founder Lisa Price and Horizon Media’s Bill Koenigsberg will be honored by The Advertising Club of New York’s annual Advertising People of the Year event.
Also named as recipients of the award, established in 1959 to recognize the individuals who are further industry standards, will be Diego Scotti, executive vice president and chief marketing officer for Verizon and Anda Gansca, chief executive and co-founder of Knotch.
Each year the event, which sees over 200 marketing professionals gather at the ceremony in New York, celebrates the creative achievements and areas of responsibility for social concern across five categories. A number of young professionals will also be invited to attend to meet with and get to know key industry figures.
Gina Grillo, president and chief executive officer of The Advertising Club of New York, said of the event: ”This long standing Ad Club honor recognizes individuals who span not only our membership base, but the industry as a whole. We think it’s important to recognize not only the diverse array of talent who are contributing to their companies, but also helping to push the industry forward and making real headway in their communities to encourage positive change.”
The Drum will speak to each of the recipients in the coming weeks running up to them receiving their awards at the Advertising People of the Year event, taking place at Guastavino’s in New York on September 18 from 6pm. Further details can be found at The Advertising Club of New York’s website.
