Endeavor acquires UK-based sport and entertainment marketing firm Clifford French

Endeavor Global Marketing, the cultural marketing agency within Endeavor, today announced the acquisition of UK-based sport and entertainment communications agency Clifford French.

The 20-person staff has worked with a client roster that includes Electronic Arts, Puma, NFL, Carlsberg, San Miguel and William Hill. The new asset to the Endeavor group has now added PR, influencer marketing, digital, talent and sponsorship activation to the offerings the company currently provides. The staffers have joined Endeavor Global Marketing’s 700 employees worldwide, working on a group of brands that has included ABInBev, HSBC, Marriott, T-Mobile, USAA and Visa.

Co-founders James Clifford and Dan French have been asked to continue running the firm, and have been named senior vice presidents, reporting to Ed Horne, president of Endeavor Global Marketing.

Horne said in a statement: “Clifford French challenges brands to ‘be the conversation,’ an ethos we share at Endeavor Global Marketing. Dan, James and the entire Clifford French team are a creative force that will enhance our efforts to place brands at the center of culture. Their global expertise is the ideal complement to our growing UK-based team.”

Clifford added: “We’re delighted to be joining Endeavor Global Marketing’s global standing, full-service marketing capabilities and unrivalled network spans the entire cultural marketing spectrum, so the opportunity, on a local and global level, is huge. It adds a whole new dimension for us and our clients.”

French continued, “As we celebrate our milestone 10th birthday, we’re very excited about the next chapter of our story and the opportunity to work with Endeavor Global Marketing; a global marketing leader across sports, entertainment and fashion. It felt the like the perfect fit!”

Endeavor’s announcement follows the hiring of former Uber chief brand officer Bozoma Saint John as its chief marketer, overseeing the company that includes agencies like Droga5 and Red Interactive, as well as other assets such as IMG, Miss Universe, and the UFC among others.
