Publicis Groupe reorganises into country models to support 'Power of One'
Publicis Groupe has expanded its country model management structure in order to organize the business into eight sectors.
Publicis pursues Power of One model
The model was tested in France and the UK over the last few months. Now, it will be expanded to reorganize North America, UK, France, DACH (Germany, Switzerland and Austria), Northern and Central Europe, Southern Europe, Asia Pacific and Middle East/Africa, and Latin America.
Each sector will be run by a leadership team that will look to cross-pollinate talent in these regions to support the group's 'power of one' model and increase efficiencies in the business.
North America is being led by an executive committee, UK is led by Annette King, France is being led by Agathe Bousquet, and DACH by Justin Billingsley. Publicis chief executive Loris Nold will oversee the Middle East and Africa while Publicis One chief Jarek Ziebinski will handle Northern and Central Europe.
To come are appointments for the Southern Europe and Latin America, although in the interim Publicis Media EMEA boss Gerry Boyle and Tim Jones, CEO of Publicis Media North America, will take the lead respectively.
Brazil does not factor into the restructure and will remain "a single solution hub," Publicis said.
Arthur Sadoun, chairman and chief executive of Publicis Groupe, explained: “We are very happy to announce the expansion of our country organisation, building on the success that we have already experienced in some of our key markets such as France and the United Kingdom.
“We are progressively completing our transformation to become a platform. To succeed, we need to implement the right balance between our global practices run by the solutions and a country led model to deliver them in an integrated way.
"This is why this move is a key milestone in our journey and will make our model stronger. With all the country leaders and the solution leaders, who are all members of the management committee, we are committed to transform Publicis Groupe for the best of our clients, our talents and all our stakeholders.”
To help build this platform, the company has adopted the AI system Marcel to help cross-pollinate its immense talent load to create teams tailored for projects.
