Telstra showcases the magic of technology in new campaign

Telstra is showcasing the magic of its technology and spruiking its status as Australia’s fastest mobile network in a new campaign.

The ‘Together, it’s magic’ campaign, which was created by The Monkeys, follows a young woman as she heads out on a walk to the shop. The walk turns into an enchanting experience as she encounters people, plants and lighting all of which is activated by the power of technology.


Telstra launches new campaign to promote its technology

The ad stars Triple J Unearthed artist Thelma Plum, who also provides the soundtrack which features a cover of Flight Facilities’ track Clair de Lune. The track has been released to coincide with the campaign launch.

The Monkeys co-founder and creative director Justin Drape said, “It has been a fun ride bringing this campaign to life. We’re thrilled to be able to work with Thelma –she has a captivating way of demonstrating the magic that’s possible when technology and the country’s best mobile network come together.”

The ad was directed by Joel Kefali of Goodoil Films.

The campaign launches as Telstra’s rival Optus has published apology ads to consumers after its World Cup streaming service suffered connection issues and left viewers unable to watch the games.
