EMEA accounts

Health food retailer Holland & Barratt has hired Pablo to lead its creative and advertising account. The agency is set to answer to the firm's new global chief marketing officer, Caroline Hipperson.

Harvey Nichols has appointed Indicia, the Konica Minolta Marketing Services communications agency. The agency has been tasked with developing new ways of engaging with the luxury brand's customers.

O2 has appointed Hearst Made to its content account. The premium publisher will relaunch the mobile phone brands' in-store magazine as 02 Alive, a lifestyle brand focusing on music and entertainment.

GambleAware has appointed M&C Saatchi to develop a new gambling awareness campaign. The charity, which exists to promote safer gambling practices, has created a new board to oversee the campaign.

Fifa has appointed AVC Immedia to produce video content for the Fifa FanFest celebrations at this month's World Cup. The team will produce content across Russia's 11 host cities. The contract follows on from a project for Fifa at the 2017 U20 World Cup in Korea.

PegasusLife, the retirement living company, has appointed BBD Perfect Storm following a competitive pitch. The agency has been tasked with redeveloping the brand's positioning in the premium retirement living market.

Oliver has been appointed by private healthcare group Spire. The agency has been tasked with centralising communications for the group's 38 private hospitals across the UK.

Sumo Logic has appointed Onebite to provide public relations and content marketing support. The firm aims to build awareness of its machine data analytics services in Europe.

Yorkshire PR agency MacComms has reported a trio of account wins, picking up contracts from outdoor camp business Camp Xplode, mindfulness consultancy Tougher Minds and super casino Victoria Gate Casino.

Americas accounts

H&R Block has chosen Deutsch as its creative and advertising agency-of-record. The agency will handle brand strategy, creative, advertising and production for the tax preparation company.

Apac accounts

Diageo Moet Henessy has appointed ASL Global in Thailand. The agency will provide outsourced marketing services to the drinks brand, from its Bangkok base.

The Online Premium Publishers Association (OPPA) of Thailand has chosen Hakuhodo DY Group to work on audience data for advertisers on its platform. The partnership will allow OPPA's members to understand consumer behaviour better and target them more effectively.

Launches

Full-service public relations and marketing agency Stryker-Munley Group has opened four new offices across the United states. The new locations include New York, San Diego, Dallas and Denver.

Adtech platform OpenX has opened a Singapore office. The office will strengthen OpenX's Apac presence, following its move into Japan in 2016.

Acquisitions

AT&T has acquired adtech player AppNexus in deal estimated to be worth over a billion dollars. The move marks the telcoms giant's second acquisition within a month.

JCDecaux has announced the acquisition of Australian out-of-home media company APN Outdoor for $1.119bn. The deal will provide JCDecaux with APN’s large format billboards as well as outdoor assets in the transit, rail and airport markets.

Elsewhere in Australia, Ooh Media has acquired street furniture company AdShel. The deal will see Ooh Media acquire more than 21,000 poster faces and 800 screens across Australia and New Zealand, making Ooh Media Australia’s largest outdoor business.

M&C Saatchi has acquired social influencer agencies Red Hare Digital and Grey Whippet. The two agencies will merge with M&C Merlin and M&C Social to form the new M&C Talent Group.

St Ives has sold its print management business to Paragon Customer Communications. The group intends to focus on its strategic marketing business.

Mancunian inbound marketing agency Six & Flow has acquired ecommerce and web system agency Digitl. The move will allow the agency to target new clients in the US, UAE and across Europe.

Threepipe has acquired creative agency Earnie to boost its creative services offering. Threepipe says the move will allow it to offer more strategic approach across integrated campaigns.
