Reddit adds News section as beta feature on iOS

Reddit has unveiled a News tab on iOS after trying an alpha version earlier.

Reddit users can find the dedicated news tab on the top left side on their app which consists of news posts from various topics such as politics, science, and sports.

Users can scroll through those topics across various countries and then tap on it to find out the trending stories in that category.

Reddit has further set guidelines for the communities that filter into the experience, as well as the post type (for example: posts titles must reflect the article title).

Reddit in a blog post wrote: " We are developing a community pivot feature that will show you multiple threads from different communities on the same article. For those of you with the iOS app, try out News . We’ll continue to make changes as more redditors test it out."

Reddit recently rolled out auto-play video ads for web and mobile.
