Mark Creighton is stepping down from his position as chief operating officer of Dentsu Aegis Network UK & Ireland, a role he’s held for two and a half years.

According to the network, there are currently no plans to replace his role. Creighton joined the network as chief operating officer in 2015 from Mindshare UK, where he served as chief executive.

Stef Calcraft, executive chairman of Dentsu Aegis Network UK & Ireland, will work with Creighton until he leaves the business at the end of July to ensure a smooth transition of his responsibilities.

Of his departure, Creighton said: “It has been a pleasure to work with such professional and talented people at Dentsu Aegis over the last couple of years. Stef and the executive team are taking the UK business in an exciting direction and I wish them every success as they continue to build progressive relationships with clients and partners across the market. I’m looking forward to taking a break, and then determining what the next exciting new chapter will be for me.”

Calcraft added: “Mark has been a key member of the leadership team over the past two and a half years and I greatly appreciate his support since I joined the business at the start of this year. He is taking a well-earned break to pursue some of his broader interests, before he decides the next step in his career. I’d like to thank Mark for his valuable contribution to the business and wish him every success in the future.”
