Business on the move: Time Out Group, AccorHotels, Costa Coffee and more

Global accounts

Dentsu Aegis Network’s Carat and iProspect has lost the Tourism Ireland media account to Omnicom’sOMD. The tourism body has also decided to retain Publicis London for its creative account. The appointments followed a statutory review that Tourism Ireland is required to carry out every seven years. The pitch was run through Creativebrief.

EMEA accounts

Independent marketing agency Volpa has won a marketing contract to develop and run a campaign on behalf of Developing Young Workforce Perth and Kinross. The campaign aims to persuade employers to offer work experience to school pupils.

Coffee chain Costa Coffee has decided to retain Zenith on its media account following a competitive pitch. The partnership has been in place since 2009.

UM has been appointed as Premier Inn’s media agency following a competitive pitch against seven agencies, effective the beginning of June 2018.

The Fashion Digital has been hired to handle the media and content account of ME+EM.

Following a competitive review, Dinosaur has been appointed as the lead creative agency by Transport for Great Manchester to run the Metrolink 2018 off-peak travel campaign. It won the account with a pitch to build on the existing #catchthesummer campaign, which launched on the company’s Instagram account last year.

London Designer Outlet has appointed Halo to handle its creative account, replacing the shopping centre’s previous agency Above & Beyond.

Animal healthcare provider, Ceva has handed its media account to MC&C. Previously, acumen Media Partners handled the account.

Americas accounts

Lighting intelligence business Helvar, has appointed True & Good, Forever Beta, Someone and MediaZoo to handle its PR, Communcations and Advertising strategy.

Popchips has appointed PK4 Media to handle its media account in the US. The agency has been immediately tasked with the launch of the brands ‘Enjoy More’ campaign.

APAC accounts

Ofo Australia has appointed Sydney based Spectrum Group as its PR and comms agency.

iProspect Hong Kong has been appointed as digital agency of record for Daniel Wellington APAC.

JCDecaux has won the renewal of its exclusive advertising contracts with Hong Kong's MTR Corporation for the operation and management of outdoor advertising across seven MTR lines and the airport express.


MullenLowe Group Philippines has acquired the operations of ARC Public Relations, an agency founded by Celine Gabriel-Lim and Jenny Yrasuegui. It has created a new entity, MullenLowe MARC. Gabriel-Lim and Yrasuegui continue in their roles as co-managing directors.

American music streaming service Pandora has announced the completion of its acquisition of digital audio advertising technology AdsWizz .

AccorHotels has completed its acquisition of Mantra Group which totalled at €830m.


Time Out Group announced the launch of Time Out Market in Montreal in partnership with real estate company Ivanhoe Cambridge.

Mobile engagement platform, Leanplum has opened its first European headquarters in Amsterdam to help brands build on existing customer relationships. The agency already has offices in London and Sofia.
