SGX Bull Charge, Singapore Exchange’s (SGX) charity initiative has named One Championship as its official fitness partner for 2018.
As part of the partnership, a mentoring programme pairing martial arts athletes with underprivileged youths will be organised.
Chew Sutat, SGX Bull Charge chairman and head of equities & fixed income, said: “We are excited about the mentoring programme, which will offer youths from our beneficiaries a unique opportunity to channel their energy positively and pick up life values such as integrity, discipline and courage.”
Teh Hua Fung, chief financial officer of One Championship, said: “This latest collaboration with SGX Bull Charge will allow One to further expand on our efforts to bring martial arts closer to the fans, by working with the youth.
“The mentoring programme can motivate low-income or troubled youth and keep them off the streets, providing them an avenue towards learning through martial arts. Even more, the youth have a unique opportunity to pick up martial arts and learn all of its amazing lessons and values. This is a tremendous opportunity for all of us to give back to the community and to have fun through.”
One Championship further plans to keep UFC at bay with newly launched mobile app.
