Agency wins

Male grooming brand Wilkinson Sword has appointed Splendid Communications as the strategic social and content agency. Following a competitive four-way pitch, Splendid will work to evolve the way the brand engages customers.

The UK government has handed its £140m media account to Manning Gottlieb OMD, ending its relationship with Dentsu Aegis agency Carat, following a review.

The UK government has handed its £140m media account to Manning Gottlieb OMD.

Purplebricks has appointed Wavemaker UK to handle its media planning and buying in order to extend the reach of its estate agency offering. The selection follows a strategic review of its marketing and a UK-wide tender process.

Ornua Foods UK, which owns brands such as Pilgrims Choice and Kerrygold, has appointed media agency Yonder to handle its media planning and buying. The account moves to Yonder from previous incumbent Hearts & Science.

Branding and interior design agency I-AM has been hired by Austrian retail bank Bawag PSK to handle a revamp of its branch network. I-AM has been tasked with creating the 'bank branch of the future' across Bawag's network of 75 sites.

Faith PR has been appointed by Yorkshire food and drink venue Bertie's. The agency has been tasked with handling media relations and managing VIP guest events.

Launches

WPP AUNZ has launched a stakeholder and community engagement agency to cater for the group’s government and private sector clients. The Bond & Associates will provide research, data, policy, communications, engagement and government sector expertise to clients around public projects and services.

New public relations firm The PR Cavalry, helmed by industry veteran Nigel Sarbutts, has launched. The company aims to make it easier for clients and agencies to find freelancers for their briefs, providing an online marketplace for freelancers and PR professionals to do business.

Full-service advertising agency Warschawski has announced the opening of a new office in Washington DC. The opening marks an effort to expand the agency's presence in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Reuters has opened a new bureau in Shenzhen, China. The new bureau joins Reuters's bureau network, which includes more than 200 locations worldwide.
