Redpill supports Alibaba’s 2018 Global SME Summit with B2B influencers

Alibaba’s inaugural 2018 Global SME Business Summit, held earlier this month, saw 3,000 SME business leaders from China, the United States, and the European Union gather to discuss global collaboration, oversee markets and international trade. Social video and influencer marketing agency Redpill supported the summit by supplying key B2B online influencers to speak.

Held at Alibaba's Campus in Hangzhou, China earlier this month, the summit was part of the invite-only, 2018 Golden Bull Awards, which was to be followed by the 2018 Global SME Awards Ceremony.

Cynthia Johnson, American business advisor, social media influencer and co-founder and chief executive of Bell + Ivy, was among the speakers Redpill sourced for the event. Her presentation – ‘Stepping Out: The Entrepreneurial Journey’ - explored her unconventional journey to success as a small business owner.

Johnson said: “Alibaba has done it again – becoming a pioneer for the unexpected and celebrating the beauty, potential, and impact [of] something others wouldn’t. This was an extraordinary event to be a part of, and I am happy to have been an example of finding large success in even the smallest and rarest of forms.”

Liam Corrigan, director at Redpill, said: “Supporting global brands with B2B social influencers is now becoming one of our fastest growing services. Brands are often looking to engage business professionals with relevant products and services through an event.”

Additional speakers included Dai Shan, President of Alibaba B2B Business Group, and Professor XiaoLan Fu of the University of Oxford.
