The resulting report will serve as a guide to the top independent agencies in the region and will rank agencies on both financial performance and client satisfaction.

The call for submissions is now open.

To submit to the research, independent agencies (including owner-managed, single company Pte Ltd, members of informal networks and agencies with outside investors) must complete this online form by June 6th this year.

The launch marks the first time The Drum has conducted its Independent Agency Census research outside of the UK, where the project has been running for several years.

Speaking about the launch, The Drum Asia Pacific editor Charlotte McEleny, said: “Southeast Asia has some of the most exciting new agencies and brands, and talent from these markets is being snapped up across the world. It is also a challenge to scale in Southeast Asia and this research aims to provide a toolkit for brands, M&A specialists, and potential partners who are seeking out the interesting businesses within these exciting countries. We want to shine a light on the amazing businesses in Southeast Asia and provide a useful resource for years to come.”
