Big Fuel founder Avi Savar joins customer intelligence platform Suzy / Suzy

Savar has the responsibility of building out the Suzy product and helping steer its vision and overall direction as the platform continues to attract new investors and clients soon after launching officially in March.

Most recently, Savar spent three years as chief executive and managing partner of Dreamit, a global accelerator and venture capital firm. Savar is still a partner at the VC firm and will remain on Dreamit’s board of directors. Prior, Savar spent almost a decade building social agency Big Fuel into a 130-employee shop up to selling it to the Publicis Groupe in 2011.

In this role, Savar has reunited with chief executive Matt Britton, who attended Boston University with him almost 25 years ago. Like Savar, Britton also launched a digital marketing agency in the early 2000s – MRY — which was also sold to Publicis in the 2010s.

“Avi and I have basically grown up in this space together,” said Britton. "We have a trust built on shared experience and values. We also both see the whitespace that exists in the marketplace right now as it relates to insight-driven decision making among brands. Not only does Avi share my vision, he adds to it and builds on it. That is exactly the type of partner I need to take Suzy to the next level."

Savar added: “Matt and I have discussed working together for years. We both have a deep history building ‘consumer-first’ organizations and I’m thrilled that we're finally joining forces. Suzy brings the voice of consumers to brands in real-time with ease and simplicity, and after seeing hundreds of startups over the last three years, I know we have the right ingredients to build a massive and truly disruptive technology platform.”
