The Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) highlights the importance and diversity of Commonwealth and Commonwealth Sport through its latest film 'The Modern Commonwealth' to mark the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games 2018 which start today.

The short film encapsulates the diversity of the Commonwealth, and its identity in modern-day international sport driven by its values of 'humanity, equality and destiny'.

The film features clips of CGF President, Louise Martin CBE, Bahamian Commonwealth Youth Games 2017 bronze medallist, Kara Hanna, and footage of the head of the Commonwealth, Her Majesty The Queen, Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and Prince Harry, and Commonwealth stars Usain Bolt and Ian Thorpe.

The film has also been syndicated by CNN, ESPN, Sony Pictures India and Channel Seven Australia.
