This week has seen another wave of appointments and departures at brands, media owners and agencies. The Drum has rounded up the key moves from the EMEA, APAC and North America regions below.
Karmarama has hired Rosie Holden to lead its PR and social influencer unit.
Holden, formerly the managing director of John Doe, will work across the group as a managing partner, with the intention of driving communications ideas with cultural currency at their heart.
Droga5 London has hired Ashley Shack as director of talent; a role created especially for the former Wieden+Kennedy London creative and design recruiter.
Shack will report to chief creative officer David Kolbusz, chief strategy officer Dylan Williams and chief executive Bill Scott.
STV Productions has appointed Jim Regan as head of daytime and popular factual to support its plans for domestic and international growth.
Regan will focus on developing new and returning shows, in particular, Antiques Roadshow and Celebrity Antiques Roadshow, after joining the STV team from Remedy Productions.
BBD Perfect Storm
Fernando Desouches, former senior global brand director for Axe/Lynx at Unilever, is joining BBD Perfect Storm to lead New Macho – a new expert marketing-to-men division.
New Macho will be dedicated to identifying and capitalizing on the opportunity that exists for culture-changing brands and agencies to shift the narrative that currently defines what it means to ‘be a man.'
Influencer marketing platform Buzzoole has announced the appointment of Damian Gillman as head of business development and Sarah Whitfield as marketing director.
They join the company from previous positions at MEC Wavemaker and Altbrain, respectively.
Broadcasting solutions company Piksel has appointed Kris Brown and Kristan Bullett as joint managing directors of its media and entertainment business.
The duo were formerly heads of product and solution respectively, and will now direct Piksel's media and entertainment operations around the world.
Digital product and service studio Ustwo has named Sinéad Ryan as its new chief people officer. Ryan, responsible for the firm's training, talent retention and culture programs will report to chief executive Carsten Wierville, who joined the company last month.
Out-of-home agency Posterscope has announced that its founder Annie Rickard has stepped down from her role as global president.
Stephen Whyte, chief executive of Posterscope UK, has been asked to assume additional responsibility for Posterscope Worldwide as its next global president.
The Honey Partnership
The Honey Partnership has hired Emily Hare, former managing editor of Contagious, to oversee all editorial output for the agency's western and Chinese clients.
Hare will assist the social creative agency in its goal to become the world's leader in its field.
Sassy Films has hired Michael Semp and Annette Harada as its new director of content communications and head of content communications and strategy, respectively.
Semp and Harada previously worked at TVC Group, the former as director of production and operations, and the latter as a former director of global client services.
Huge London has hired Wayne Deakin as executive creative director, with the hope of driving new growth and its client roster in Europe.
Deakin will work with managing director Mark Manning who said he tapped the executive creative director veteran due to his "outstanding track record across digital, innovation and communication".
Tanya Faulkner has been promoted to managing director at Quiet Storm to take full commercial and operational responsibility for the agency.
Ben Shaw has been promoted from head of BBH live to head of strategy at BBH London.
Having joined the agency in 2008, Shaw head up the agency's social content and data division in 2015 and has been in the role since. His client roster hosts the likes of Tesco, Virgin Media and Absolut.
Blis has promoted Richard Andrew to the position of managing director of Asia, to replace the outgoing Regina Goh, effective immediately.
Andrew, who previously held the role of regional group director of Asia, will lead the location technology company from Hong Kong.
The creative agency has appointed Paul Sidharta to the role of executive creative director, overseeing the creative duties of the agency group.
Sidharta joins from JWT Singapore, where he held the role of creative director working on the global LUX portfolio.
Geometry Global Malaysia
The WPP agency has hired Michael Fillon as its executive creative director. He will be based in Kuala Lumpur, reporting to the agency’s chief executive Kenny Loh.
He joins Leo Burnett ARC in Dubai where he was creative director.
Grace Blue Partnership
The executive search agency has announced that Daisy Chen and Sonia Voirol will be joining as directors of its Shanghai and Singapore offices, respectively.
Chen will be based in Shanghai, working alongside Hilda Ng, and Stephanie Sun. Voirol will be based in the regional head office in Singapore alongside Jean-Michel Wu, Helen Duffy and Hilda Ng.
Grey Group Greater China
Adam O'Conor has joined the agency as chairman and chief executive.
O'Conor most recently served as president, Ogilvy & Mather Group, Asia Pacific, Hong Kong, overseeing global brand management in the region.
Grey Group Singapore
The agency has appointed Carles Puig as their executive creative director. Puig will work closely with Tim Cheng, chief creative officer, Grey Group Singapore and be responsible for the creative output of all the agency's key accounts and creative projects.
WPP AUNZ has announced that Peter Bosilkovski has been appointed as regional chief executive for Australia & NZ at Y&R.
Bosilkovski was most recently chief executive of Leo Burnett Sydney where he worked for nine years.
Digital marketing agency Feed has announced the appointment of Tamara Hill as managing director for the North America region.
Hill was previously executive director of UX strategy for design brand Futurebrand Speck.
CP+B Boulder has announced the hiring of Trisha Ramdoo as its director of business affairs and Johan Eghammer as an executive creative director.
Ramdoo was previously at TBWA\Media Arts Lab, where she served group director of business affairs for the unit's sole client, Apple. Eghammer has spent the last 23 years of his career at Forsman & Bodenfors, as creative director, senior partner and a member of the board.
Teresa Barreira is the newly appointed chief marketing officer at Publicis.Sapient.
Barreira will oversee the global marketing function across 100-plus offices, with responsibility for market strategy, client experience, brand and corporate communications. Prior to Publicis, Barreira worked with the aforementioned Deloitte, Accenture and IBM.
Lee Maicon has joined McCann North America as chief strategy officer from 360i. Maicon will lead the agency’s multi-disciplined strategic planning team, have responsibilities for the agency brand itself, and be a core member of both of the North American leadership team and the McCann Worldgroup Global Strategic Leadership Community.
We Are Unlimited
We Are Unlimited, McDonald’s designated advertising agency, has announced a group of six new hires - including Chris Moreira and Mark Schöller as executive creative directors. The pair previously plied their trade at Saatchi & Saatchi New York.
Other hires included Augustus Sung and David Stevanov, formerly of Ogilvy Singapore, and Kristen Manias and Allison Bulow, both from Mcgarrybowen.
Cadreon, the adtech specialist unit of IPG Mediabrands, has appointed Erica Schmidt as its global chief executive officer.
Schmidt will report to Arun Kumar, IPG's global chief data and marketing technology officer, and is tasked with scaling the network's programmatic offering.
Synthesio continues its growth, adding to its revamped leadership team by hiring Chris Vitti as chief marketing officer.
Also joining the global social intelligence and social listening platform Julien Plée as chief technology officer and Dave McGrath as vice president of sales for EMEA.
Branded Entertainment Network (BEN)
Today, Branded Entertainment Network (BEN) announced a major internal company shift. Founding chief executive officer Gary Shenk will be transitioning to executive chairman as Ricky Ray Butler resumes the title of chief executive officer.
Butler previously served as founder and president of Plaid Social Labs, acquired by BEN in 2015, an online advertising company specializing in connecting brands with online video influencers to increase awareness, lift sales and establish product credibility.
Merge, a full-service advertising, marketing and media network, has hired Bob Bernstein as executive vice president, media director.
Bernstein joins Merge from the Chicago office of Epsilon where he was senior vice president, director of media and performance marketing. Before Epsilon, Bernstein worked at Centro, a digital-technology firm. His media-agency experience spans nearly three decades and includes running the media department for eleven years at FCB Chicago.
Managing director Paulo Fogaca will take on the role of global chief operating officer across David's three offices. Tony Kalathara has been promoted to executive group creative director. Juan Peña Plaza and Ricardo Casal have both been promoted to executive creative director. Jason Wolske and Danny Alvarez have been promoted to group creative director.

Veronica Beach, head of global production, will also be taking on more responsibilities at the company. Also, David Miami will be strengthening strategy and HR teams.
Best Friends Animal Society
Best Friends Animal Society, a leading animal welfare organization, announced that its board of directors has appointed Julie Castle as chief executive officer, effective April 16.
Co-founder and current chief executive Gregory Castle will transition to other responsibilities and will remain a member of Best Friends board of directors.
