IAB launches new programmatic advertising course with Singapore government for mid-career professionals

The first intake will start in June 2018 and successful candidates must have two years of working experience.

The Adapt and Grow Professional Conversion Programme (PCP) for Programmatic Advertising has been launched in Singapore to equip working professionals with programmatic advertising skill sets.

The programme was launched by the Interactive Advertising Bureau Singapore (IAB Singapore), together with Workforce Singapore (WSG) and Economic Development Board (EDB), two Singapore ministries.

“The overwhelming majority of our members have told us that talent sourcing, training and development for programmatic are their biggest challenges,” said Miranda Dimopoulos, chief executive of IAB Singapore.

“IAB Singapore, WSG and EDB have stepped up to deliver with the launch of the Adapt and Grow PCP for Programmatic Advertising. It is key that we listen and tailor our approach not only to our members, but to regional industry requirements as well.”

The new programme will combine classroom and on-the-job training to allow working professionals who are in their mid-career or looking for a career switch, to pick up programmatic skills.

The first intake will start in June 2018 and successful candidates must have two years of working experience before being placed with participating employers and undergo training for six months.
