Future Publishing adds What Hi-Fi?, Stuff and others to specialist consumer stable

What Hi-Fi?, Stuff, FourFourTwo, Practical Caravan and Practical Motorhome will all make the move from Haymarket to Future, opening up new markets for the group and complementing its existing technology brands – although the Stuff takeover remains subject to Competition and Markets Authority approval.

The deal will give Future a foothold in the audio visual and technology sectors, football and the outdoor leisure sector, diversifying its subscriptions base and broadening its organic growth potential.

Zillah Byng-Thorne, CEO of Future, commented: “These titles are well established brands with strong market positions that expand and enhance our presence in existing verticals and extend our reach into new communities.”

For its part Haymarket is seeking to focus its energies on consumer motoring media via What Car?, Autocar and Pistonheads while simultaneously growing its B2B portfolio.

Past moves saw Haymarket fold its Marketing and Media Week titles into advertising magazine Campaign.
