Ricola, the Swiss-based family-owned manufacturer of herbal drops, has awarded Publicis Worldwide its global creative and digital account, following a competitive pitch.
Publicis Zürich has been tasked to lead the account, with Publicis London as the global lead agency for strategy, and Poke London as the global agency for all digital communications.
Publicis Singapore will be the regional hub for Asia, Publicis Zürich and Publicis London for Europe. The agencies are tasked with developing broadcast, digital activation and integrated content. Publicis Zürich will lead the account with the aim of ensuring creativity, efficiency and knowledge transfer in addition to uniform communication.
Ricola’s head of brand and communications, Lukas Eiselin said:“One of the decisive factors in awarding Publicis the account was that the agencies were able to prove during the entire pitch phase that the cooperation within the network works seamlessly. This offers real added value for us as a global brand, particularly in terms of the need to enable stringent, global brand management with local relevance.”
Added Nick Farnhill, chief executive of Publicis London and Poke: “We’re excited and very proud to work with Ricola. It’s a great opportunity to collaborate with our wider Publicis family in bringing this iconic Swiss brand to life in new and innovative ways. The Ricola team’s commitment to long term design solutions and sustainability is inspiring and we can’t wait to get started."
First works have been scheduled to publish later this year. Publicis' win of this account follows last week's "significant coup" of the Campbell's Soup win, which it wrested from BBDO after its 54-year relationship with the brand.
