Starring those who have featured in stories, documentaries and comedies from BBC Three, the short film showcases the many individual perfect days that BBC Three celebrates.

“In the two years since moving online, BBC Three continues to push boundaries,” commented BBC Three controller, Damian Kavanagh. “We present real characters and stories that reflect the different faces of youth culture in an authentic way and this film offers and unfiltered view of life and individuals that BBC Three celebrates.”

Since moving online BBC Three has achieved critical success with shows such as Fleabag, People Just Do Nothing, Thirteen, Murdered By My Father, and more. The channel recently announced plans to expand its commissioning remit with an additional £10m investment.

BBC Creative, creative director, Aidan McClure, said: “BBC Three is a unique platform that gives young people a voice. So working with them to recreate Perfect Day in a way that is authentic has been a mind and eye-opening experience.”

The original ‘Perfect Day’ was released in 1997 for the BBC’s Children in Need, the remake was created by the BBC’s in-house team, BBC Creative, and directed by Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace, collectively known as 32 (Pulse Films). The music for the new version has been created by producer, Courage.
