Havas strengthens creative, digital & production arms with appointment trio

This will see Patrick Cahill join creative agency Havas London as joint head of integrated production, while Shirin Majid heads to sport and entertainment agency Cake to serve as executive creative director.

They will be joined by Sally Barr who will straddle both agencies as head of social.

In his new post, Cahill – a former senior producer at Adam&Eve/DDB – will assume responsibility for Havas London’s production department alongside Katy Welsh.

Majid, previously creative director at Lad Bible, will take the helm of Cake’s creative team. Barr will put her social media experience, honed over three years working for Saatchi & Saatchi, to good use on behalf of clients ranging from Molson Coors, GSK and EE to Barclays and StudioCanal.

Xavier Rees, chief executive of Havas London, Havas Helia and Field Day, said: “It is testament to Havas that we’re able to attract brilliant talent from such pioneering companies as Adam&Eve, Lad Bible and Saatchi & Saatchi. Everyone in this building will learn something from these three, who bring a wealth – and range – of experience to the table.”

Adrian Pettett, chief executive of Cake, added: “Cake has always put creativity at the heart of its business. With the appointment of Shirin as executive creative director and by developing even greater ties with our creative agency partner Havas London through Sally’s dual role, we are doubling down our commitment to creativity and innovation.”

Last month saw Havas UK elevate Tracey Barber to the post of chief marketing officer.
