For the second year in a row, The Drum is opening its own London boozer for the duration of Advertising Week Europe (AWE). The Drum have partnered with The Sun to host an ‘off-Broadway’ version of AWE which will entail a week full of quizzes, pub lunches and discussions on issues being faced by marketers today.
The Drum and The Sun Arms will open its doors on March 19 and will be located a short stroll from AWE's Picturehouse Central venue in Piccadilly. The week-long event will kick-off with debates, pub lunches and later on, The Drum's very own karaoke extravaganza.
The sessions will include a live trial to decide whether an advert is breaching ASA regulations and should be banned. Kevin the Carrot will appeal his drunk and disorderly conviction as our very own secret judge hammers his gavel.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in debates and thought-provoking discussions on current issues in the industry. What lies in store for the future of TV? How do celebrities really feel about working in advertising?
AWE, held every year in March, gathers industry veterans in marketing, advertising and technology to discuss the most prevalent issues facing their industries and their vision for shaping the future. With hundreds of talks to choose from, it is an opportunity for networking and inspirational learning.
