What Does It Take To Be A Great Creative? is a video series that highlights the thinking of global creative leaders on specific actions that can build a successful creative career in the industry. See what other creative leaders had to say in past episodes.

Eric Weisberg took on the role as Doner’s first-ever global creative chief in July 2016. Over his impressive career, stints at JWT, Leo Burnett, Saatchi & Saatchi and K2 Digital illustrate his deep understanding of what makes great creativity.

Catching up with Weisberg in Cannes, he notes that three things make a creative person genuinely outstanding.

First, like most good creatives, curiosity can transform ideas in culture and technology and result in much stronger work. Next, ambition is vital — and the playground of new ideas today is an opportunity for creatives to run fast and harness the passion of creativity. Finally, Weisberg counts collaboration as a critical trait, and those that don’t keep ideas in their private domain will ultimately end up having more satisfying and gratifying careers.

See Eric's full interview above, and don't miss the previous What it Takes to be a Great Creative? with Sami Thessman, Wunderman chief creative officer.
