Cathay Pacific has partnered with Pure Yoga to create a section in its in-flight content dedicated to yoga and mediation called ‘Travel Well with Yoga’.

Cathay Pacific inks deal with Pure Yoga for in-flight content series

The partnership is the latest extension of Cathay Pacific’s ‘Life Well Travelled’ campaign and aims to be an option for customers looking to find more comfort when flying, with directions on exercises to do before, during and after the flight.

The videos will be available on all routes and have been created by instructors from Pure Yoga, with founding teacher Patrick Creelman and senior instructor and co-founder Almen Wong leading the tutorials.

Cathay Pacific entertainment, platforms and connectivity manager Simon Cuthbert, said Yoga was an “innovative” route to helping customers move on longer flights.

“We all know that sitting still for a long period of time can be uncomfortable. The need to get up, move and get your blood pumping is important during a flight. Yoga is an innovative way to do this. There are a series of exercises that can easily be done from an economy class seat whilst other moves are suitable for after the flight in your hotel," he explained.

As part of the deal, Pure Yoga is offering all Cathay Pacific Marco Polo Club members a range of discounts and trials for its studios in Asia.

Cathay Pacific’s ‘Life Well Travelled’ has put a sustainable spin on Chinese New Year this year, announcing last month that it would recycle old uniforms into high end Lai See envelopes for the annual celebration.
