Beyond London, there is a cornucopia of creative work that should be lauded. The Drum does just that with The Roses Creative Awards, which recognise the very best creativity in advertising, design and digital outside of London.

Each year sees the best regional agencies compete for a gold, silver or bronze accolade, awarded by a prestigious judging panel.

DESIGN: Identity Design - GOLD

Leith picked the most crowded market there is, gin, and created a brand ‘Another Effing Gin’.

The new gin brand poked fun at the sheer number of gins in the world


One Black Bear

DIGITAL: Online Advert or Campaign - BRONZE

One Black Bear took on the challenge to provide St Basils, the West Midlands based youth homelessness charity, with an original and cost effective campaign to improve its online presence.

Participant companies were invited to place a temporary splash page over website homepages. Visitors to these sites were given the option to carry on viewing their intended domain or be diverted and learn about St.Basils.

DIGITAL: Online Advert or Campaign - SILVER

Specsavers created a digital campaign to support its latest TV ad, 'Boiler', which featured a short-sighted plumber, Superbe Plomberie. His sight issues clearly ran in the family, with many of his UK cousins, Superb Plumber, customers not left entirely happy.


MISC: Ambient Media/Stunts - GOLD

To highlight shocking figures that showed that 55% of all skin cancer patients are construction workers, making them the most at risk group of workers.

HAVAS Lynx, Cancer Research UK and HSS Hire created a highly targeted and impactful campaign with the use of photo-chromatic ink and produced the world’s first sun safety awareness graphic.


Content OD

CRAFT: Animation - GOLD

Pause, a charity that works with women who have experienced, or are at risk of, repeat removals of children from their care, and Content OD produced an animation that told the real story of one of Pauses' women, from her point of view.

To bring about a true reflection of her experiences, 'Joanne' was included in the creative process. Her written words and drawings were animated with the tree representing her growth and becoming a better person.
