Storyful, a News Corp-owned social media insights and content company, announced today that Mandy Jenkins has taken the role of editor in chief.
Jenkins previously served as the firm’s head of news and will continue to lead Storyful’s growing newsroom. As editor in chief, she has the responsibility of expanding the team’s research and verification services as well as their industry-leading social verification for breaking and viral news.
Jenkins has been at Storyful for three years, managing a global team of more than 60 journalists across four continents and working closely with Storyful’s product development and sales teams to manage key relationships with publishers and social platforms. A seasoned journalist and expert in the media industry, Jenkins has worked at several different publications over the course of her career including the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the Cincinnati Enquirer, TBD.com, Digital First Media and the Huffington Post.

Jenkins has served on the Board of Directors of the Online News Association since 2012, most recently in the role of vice president, and also sits on the board of the American Society of News Editors.
